Homecoming 2008

WOW, he looks so grown up. I don't think I've seen him this dressed up since mine and Chad's wedding. That was 8 years ago. This night was so special to him. He had the "perfect" date (which is now his girlfriend) and quite the big head about himself. He had every reason to though. He looked (looks) so good. He had a great time. He said that neither he or his date danced really well so they both looked silly together. What matters is that they had fun! She is a girl that is new to our church and new to Haughton. Her name is Chelsea. She is really sweet and a short little thing. Dylan gets a kick out of that. Her poor corsage was about as tall as she is. I hope you enjoy the pics. Oh, my dad is the "God Father" looking man. He came to chauffeur them around.

Happy Birthday Dear... Oops!

I can't believe I am willingly admitting this (my mom always told me I was bad about telling on myself) but at Garrett's birthday party Saturday I sang "Happy Birthday Dear Dylan"! Honestly I cannot believe I did this. Thankfully I wasn't singing loud like I normally do. I don' t think he heard me do this and I will never tell him. However, if he finds out...I'm coming after YOU! Besides, I call him the wrong name all the time. At least I didn't sing happy birthday to Averie. That would've been a little off! Oh well, chalk me up as BEING HUMAN! I am getting OLD too, that can be my other excuse. Either way he had a good time at his party. It was a lot of fun. The kids played the Wii, Bingo and jumped on the trampoline. We just had it here at the house with family and close friends. He decided he would have a small party and a GOOD gift. He got a Ninentendo DS Lite along with some money and toys. Thanks to all of you that were able to attend and we missed those of you that couldn't.

Purity Ring Ceremony!

On September 21, 2008 Dylan (our 15 year old) committed his life to purity before God, his family and the congregation at our church. This was a bitter/sweet day. Bitter because he's old enough to have to think about that sort of stuff and SWEET because I really believe he's for real. I am so excited for him. I truly pray that he keeps his word to GOD and his future bride. What a sweet day that will be when he can give his Purity ring to his bride and honestly say that he waited for her. Too cool!!!! "God, please give Dylan the courage, strength, will power and knowledge to do what is right, AMEN!"

A special thanks to my sister-in-law, Michelle Felicetty, for this priceless picture of Dylan, Chad and me holding hands. WOW! Pictures do say more than words. His ring, the bottom picture, has TRUE LOVE WAITS on it. We're going to have I Thess. 4:3-4 inscribed on it. It's a great verse.

OK so I lied!

The gymnastics thing didn't work out. The first time she went, she loved it. She hasn't been back since. Not real sure what went wrong. I am sad but not upset. That's one less thing I have to worry about getting my kids to. We have enough on our plate as it is. Once Dylan and Garrett are through with Football, Dylan's soccer will be starting up. Luckily there is nothing for Garrett to do this Winter. I am all about not having to get 3 kids in 10 different places! Can I get an AMEN!!! I will be blogging more soon. Sorry I've been so neglectful. I just have been super busy with work, photography and LIFE in general. Later!
